A loose end
Having never neatly followed a single disciplinary track, I came to design trained to pay attention to what happens between people, and then I got interested in what happens between people and things.
Between people and things
I trained as a sociologist — which means I learned to pay attention to what happens between people. Then I studied product design and got interested in what happens between people and things.
For twenty years I have worked in the space between those two questions.
